This past Sunday, while making breakfast, with CBS Sunday Morning on in the background, I got a surprise as I watched their story on the oldest traditional beret maker in the world, Laulhère, nestled in the Pyrenees.
As they toured the factory, located in Oloron-Sainte-Marie, I did a doubletake as Mark Saunders, Laulhère’s sales and marketing director, explained to the CBS reporter how labor-intensive the making of their berets is. Was that an Irish accent I heard?
Sure enough, he’s from Dublin!
